With over 35 years of experience in the curtain wall industry, most of it in New York City, John Allen Wolf is a leading figure in the implementation of advanced facade system designs in the local marketplace. His areas of specialization include highly engineered and customized facade systems and high-end ornamental metal designs for storefront and lobby applications in a wide variety of building types including tall commercial and residential, stadiums, transportation hubs, hospitality and public works. His project involvement includes the who’s who of local landmark buildings, among them the Museum of Modern Art, Hearst Headquarters, World Trade 7, One Bryant Park, Hudson Yards Towers A and C, and the NYMoMa Tower. John has a long history in the curtainwall industry starting with Flour City Architectural Metals, and spent 12 years with Permasteelisa managing business development and project operations in the New York marketplace before joining Enclos Corp in 2012, where he is currently Vice President – Pre Construction Services / East.
His experience includes both operations and business development at a national level, overseeing projects ranging from $10MM to well over $200MM in value. As a Project Executive, John has managed project teams on the facade contractor side, as well as the owner, design and build team relationships on the client side. His role has included ultimate project performance responsibility including P&L and closeout. Currently working in a pre-construction service capacity, John works with owners, contractors and design teams to secure custom facade contracts in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. This involves the direction of design development, budgeting and pricing, procurement strategies, installation logistics and contract negotiations. He is a civil engineering graduate from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
