Emilie Hagen, LEED Fellow, is the Associate Director of Atelier Ten’s San Francisco office and is the director in charge of Atelier Ten’s Daylight practice. She is an expert in building performance with over a decade of experience in the application of advanced building analysis including façade optimization, shading analysis, net zero water and energy, resiliency, and carbon management. She has spoken at local and national events on these subjects including SXSW Eco 2015, Net Positive 2015 and DIVA Day 2014. Emilie was a co-author of Urban Green’s “Baby It’s Cold Inside” report about resilience and high performance building envelopes, and has taught at Parsons the New School for Design and Columbia GSAPP. She studied at the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Stuttgart in Germany, and holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Architecture and Urban Design at the University of Kansas.
