Chris's current role is the Senior Project Manager for McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. on our Skechers Corporate Headquarters Expansion Project. He leads the project team in our design coordination, planning, procurement, and execution for the Campus Expansion. The project includes 3 new buildings and 1 building addition including various offsite improvements to the city streets and Pacific Coast Highway. Chris’s passion for building enclosure and façade design started during his previous role as Quality Director for our Southern California Region. He served in this position for 4 years. During that time, he worked with projects all over Southern California spanning from Santa Barbara to San Diego. He has been with McCarthy for over 11 years and held various roles in Field Operations spanning all of McCarthy’s core market sectors: Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Parking Structures. In the Quality Director role, Chris spent his time working with Project teams to develop site specific quality plans to establish on-site quality programs, worked with project teams to resolve issues, conducted training though the McCarthy internal training program, and supported all warranty and closed projects. Chris earned his Construction Management Degree from Michigan State University and has continued his professional development by earning his Construction Documents Technologists Designation from the Construction Specifications Institute, the DBIA designation from the Design Build Institute of America, and the Certified Professional Constructor Designation from the American Institute of Constructors.
