Ryan Danks

Ryan Danks is the Global Practice Area Leader for Building Performance at RWDI. He focuses on the research and development of tools and methodologies to better simulate the interaction between the built and natural environments in order to help engineers, architects and urban planners create climate aware designs that emphasize energy efficiency, outdoor comfort and walkability. His responsibilities also include ensuring the highest level of technical quality for RWDI's clients around the world.

This requires leveraging a wide variety of computational modeling techniques, including computational fluid dynamics (CFD), solar radiation modeling, particulate matter transportation and human physiological response modeling to understand how local wind, solar and rain patterns influence the liveability of urban spaces.
