Christina Karney

Christina has 15 years of experience as an architect, project manager, product, and team leader in a wide range of contexts and building types. Christina focuses on driving process and quality improvements to achieve consistency and efficiency while leveraging the collective intelligence of diverse teams. She is passionate about translating technical concepts to a wider audience. Her bridge- building approach enables her to foster collaboration on interdisciplinary teams and empower leaders to make thoughtful, holistic, and data-driven decisions. She is currently working with Nexii Building Solutions where she leads processes that drive the commercialization of products and Change Management programs.

She also serves on the Executive Council of the Ontario Association of Architects. This work is focused on ongoing engagement with the public on governance issues including building greater Climate Resiliency and addressing issues of Housing Affordability. Her past roles include Sr. Associate at mcCallumSather, Chair of the Hamilton Burlington Society of Architects, and Board Member for Cobalt Connects. She obtained her MArch at the University of Waterloo, is a licensed Architect in Ontario, and has international experience in England, France, and Italy.
