Design Principal at HOK
Adaeze is the Design Principal at HOK Los Angeles and works on various large-scale Entertainment, Commercial, Higher Education, Science & Technology and Hospitality projects. She brings over 18 years of experience as an innovative, successful, and dedicated design professional with exceptional designs praised by Wehoville, Lonny Magazine, and Design Milk. As Design Principal, Adaeze shapes the design culture and framework at the Los Angeles studio. In addition to being a talented designer, she is also a registered architect, which allows her to understand how a building comes together to provide outstanding service for clients. She uses her creativity to compose beautiful, functional, and sustainable projects which give back to the communities that surround them. Her work to infuse sustainable strategies into the design process and commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion result in productive teams that meet the needs of the client, users and the community. Adaeze is also a speaker, personal and group mentor and leader, and juror for Prairie View A&M University and California State University Long Beach. As a mentor and role model, she inspires people of color and female architects and designers to build successful careers. This year she was named one of Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2022 Women of Influence: Construction, Architecture, and Engineering for the second time and in 2022 she was one of Building Design + Constructions 40 Under 40.
