It's no facade: Special panel discussion on the climate crisis
We’re in trouble! We’re cooking the planet! We know that buildings are a big part of the problem, and there has been a long running industry focus on improving building performance. So how are we doing? What’s working and what’s not? What more can we do with the façade system? These questions and more will be explored in this special panel session.
Join Ajla and Mic as they explore these questions along with very special guest Peter Nelson with SLCgreen, who will discuss how Salt Lake City is thinking about and addressing these important issues.
Special guest:
Peter Nelson – Sustainable Business Program Manager at Salt Lake City Corporation
Peter Nelson is Sustainable Business Program Manager with Salt Lake City’s Department of Sustainability. Since joining the team in 2012, Peter has implemented several building and energy initiatives, including the SLC Redevelopment Agency’s Sustainable Development Policy, the Electric Vehicle Readiness ordinance, the Elevate Buildings commercial energy benchmarking ordinance, and the City’s building decarbonization strategies. Peter holds a Master's of Science & Technology degree from the University of Utah.
