Emerging Professional Award

The Emerging Professional Award is intended to recognize and honor young people early in their career who are showing exceptional promise, to bring these individuals to the forefront of the facade industry and the attention of their more senior colleagues.

Candidates must have less than 10 years experience in the building industry and be no more than 35 years of age. Accomplishments of the individuals recognized here should be consistent with the goals of the Institute in advancing the art, science and technology of conceptualizing, designing, planning, and constructing high performance building facades for the benefit of planet and people. Nominations of individuals that have made noteworthy contributions to the advancement of some aspect of facade design, procurement, engineering, fabrication, installation and long-term performance, are welcome.

Once you have reviewed the eligibility, please prepare the materials outlined below in accordance with the online submission form. The submission form must be completed in its entirety and cannot be partially saved. However, you can edit your entry after the initial submission up until the deadline.

Please prepare the materials in accordance with the online submission form.

  • The nominating individual or entity must be a member of the Façade Tectonics Institute (FTI).
  • The nominee need not be a member of FTI.
  • Provide background information on the nominee. This may include a resume, curriculum vitae, or detailed biography, a history of accomplishments, or other forms of descriptive background materials. A headshot and short biography must be submitted for all nominees.
  • Provide a description of the nominees experience and contributions in as much detail as appropriate, with accompanying images and documentation, including links to additional information if required. Elaborate on the importance and relevance of the contributions.
  • Provide contact information for others willing to speak in support of the nominee.
